We recently visited St David's Cathedral in Pembrokeshire and noticed the columns were definitely leaning outwards. We thought it might be the weight of the roof etc., causing the problem. Will the Cathedral collapse in the future? And what could be done to prevent it happening.

No - the leaning pillars in the nave are a well-known feature of the cathedral, as is the sloping floor. For more background, see http://www.theheritagetrail.co.uk/cathedrals/st%20davids%20c athedral.htm
