Am I Being Unreasonable?

I won't bore you all with the details but today something happened which I don't agree with. I asked someone to do something and it hasn't been done how I asked for it to be done. I am not saying I am always right, but I feel how it has been done is wrong. I cannot appeal against the decision but I feel like I need to say how disappointed I am.

Am I being unreasonable in expecting things to go my way as I thought my request was acceptable or should I just get on with things and accept that not everything will be done correctly, let along my way?

I would have loved to do it myself, but it was a discipline matter and needed someone of higher rank than me to do it.

Since you don't give details, I don't really think anybody can really answer this question.

If this is something that needed to be dealt with by your superiors, it's not your place to interfere and if the job has been done to the satisfaction of the person who assigned it, there's nothing you can do.

Maybe your experience isn't quite the same as mine but I've recently gone through a period where I've had to accept that other people have their own ways of working & they will continue to do so regardless of the procedures that are in place.

i deal in disciplinary matters at work, haven't lost a case yet, tho thats no help to you.
