hello, i recently wne ton holiday and when i came back my computer wasn't working quite how i'd left it. When trying to get a web page (i'm broadband) it says down the bottom 'detetcing proxy settings' and then the page 'cannot be displayed'. also, when i try to sign in to msn, it tells me i'm behinda firewall (0x81000365) and i can't do anything. when i start up the computer, it says that Dw has caused an error in DW.EXE and that it will now close, but i'm not sure if that has anything to do with my loss of internet. as far as i know all the cables are fine and i've tried restoring it to an earlier point, but it says it can't do it. hope this makes a bit of sense, please help. thanks. michelle.

oooh I may be wrong on this forgetting all your connectivity and proxy detecting problems and going straight to the error. I think dw.exe is the microsoft thing which says you've had a crash, do you want me to send details to microsoft. There is also a trojan called downloadware and it sounds like on your last visit to the internet, you may have (ahem) attracted it, and one is upsetting the other.
