Continous wear contact lenses

I've worn contacts for about 14 years now, the monthly ones.

Had my eyes checked the other day and they suggested the continuous wear ones you don't take out and can sleep in.

Has anyone tried these? Love the thought of being being to see all the time without the faff as I'm blind as a bat me, but worry they'll dry my eyes out and such like normal contacts.

Can anyone help?

Thanks xxx

Yes I had a trial but my eyes were not compatible with them and they caused an infection, only wanted them for when I went to Glastonbury so I wasnt fiddlin about with lenses in all the mud :-)
I wanted to try them but my optician advised me against it saying that if you have any underlying problems, these are most likely to exaggerate them and make them worse.

A friend of mine tried them and had no problems though
