In the summer I bought an unnamed red leaved plant from a garden centre and it's been in a pot on my patio all summer, growing spectacularly It doesn't have flowers. The leaves, which grow fast, are the colour of bright red beetroot and rather resemble the shape of beech tree leaves.. The stems are also red. It looks as if it's not hardy and should in fact be a houseplant. I've taken some cuttings which I'm growing indoors as I'm sure it wont survive the frost but would love to know what its name is. Sorry I can't provide a photo. It's not a coleus and is now 18 inches high and a foot across.
