Hi folks, does anyone shop online with Shein?  Is it all it's cracked up to be, please?  The prices are so low, that it makes me wonder... "I can't believe it's not butter" sort of thing...

Look at reviews on Trustpilot...they're not very good at returns and refunds.

I've bought quite a lot and not been disappointed. I've never had reason to return anything but a friend did and she didn't have any problems.

Many thanks, folks that's all I needed to know.....cheers!appreciate your help.  Chox.

Trust pilot cannot be trusted as reviews are not verified l

I bought a couple of items from Shein last summer - they were very nice and good quality.

Sister company of Temu much along same lines. Know a few very happy with purchases.

Cheap and cheerful Chinese imports. Buy a size up in clothing as they are often smaller than expected.

My granddaughter loves them & so haven't had a problem with them. I am the one who had a problem when I went to buy something for my granddaughter, they refused to accept my card payment saying it was fake!!!

Just like eBay, Amazon Marketplace, Temu and Àli Èxpress, Shein doesn't actually sell anything which appears on its website.  Instead, it operates on a 'marketplace' model, enabling vast numbers of different vendors to advertise their goods throuh the site.  (Those vendors can also have their products stored in, and despatched from, Shein's own warehouses).

So, just as when buying on eBay or Amazon Marketplace, for example, some vendors will be excellent, whereas others might not be.

Shein was founded in China but its HQ is now in Singapore.  It uses warehouses across the world to despatch goods from, so shipping times can vary quite a lot.

In the past, people buying fashion items from the Far East have experienced problems with the the clothes that they've purchased turning out to be far smaller than they'd expected but that seem to be less of a problem these days.

Some Chinese manufacturers have been known to make inferior copies of western products and then use photos taken from the western manufacturers' own webites (rather than photos of the poor quality stuff that they've actually made themselves) on sites such as Shein, Temu and Àli Èxpress.  So there's a possibility that what you see might not be exactly what you get.

If you're having goods shipped from China, India or wherever, there could be problems with returning any items that don't fit.  (i.e. the costs of shipping might be prohibitive).

Having said all of that though, I've bought plenty of goods from the Far East (usually through Àli Èxpress) without any problems.  However, as I'm not buying fashion items (as a Shein customer would be), I don't have to worry about the problem of ordering the correct size.

I can't believe that some people can't believe it's not butter! What's wrong with them? 😊

I wouldn't shop somewhere that can't spell SHINE properly!
