As there are so many royalists on AB no one seems concerned about their situation  .

Anne, I'm sure you are not alone when it comes to being curious about the Princess of Wales, but if she doesn't want the world to know, and if Prince William doesn't want us to know why he didn't attend the memorial for the late King Constantine, then we just have to accept it. No point in speculating. I'm sure a lot of us are concerned though, and I wish them all well.

Some mean spirited anti royals on this one though just to show the range of views a

But issues have arisen since then. When Charles announced his illness, there was talk about William stepping up to take on more responsibilities. According to Private Eye he hasn't taken on any. His wife's ill; Camilla's stepped back to attend to her husband; Anne and Edward are already fully booked; Harry's not wanted; the only person eager to step up is Andy.

There isn't much royalty around at the moment.

Andy ? Any port in a storm .

Methinks if we didnt have a RF,we would have to have a president of some sort. Can anyone think of a suitable type in the UK to fulfill such a role?I cant.

I like having a royal family but refuse to get involved with speculation about their private matters.  What's the point?

Really? Let them get on with it. If there is something amiss, the news will come out when they are ready to tell the world. As to William missing the memorial service, I don't think that this is news at all. I know it's speculation but it happened the day that Gabrielle Windsor's husband died and we now know what happened there. She and William are just about the same age, though not cousins - and both of them 'lived' in Ken Pal for a long time as youngsters so they probably are pretty close.  It would not surprise me at all if he cancelled his attendance at the service to be there as a shoulder for her to let her grief come out etc. And who would want to talk publicly about that after such a tragic incident?

//they do a good job - not one that many would envy or want - or even be capable of.//

Yet anyone born into or marrying into the RF IS capable of it whatever their natural talents (or lack of). Strange that.
