...And if so, what/who do you watch?

I've never seen one.  They're one of life's mysteries to me.

Are podcasts not audio-only things?  Don't think you watch them!

No, I'm as much in the dark as you.

I do follow a few vloggers, though, people I know who live on narrowboats and widebeams

Well, you tend to listen to them:

I have never really persevered with them and I should: the one I listen to is for my local football tea. I have tried a few of the politics ones: Rory Stewart and Alistair Campbell's one "The Rest is Politics", is probably worth a listen: Matt Chorley's "Politics Without the Boring Bits" (previously know as "Red Box" is very entertaining, as is the radio show of the same name.

The last one I started on was "No Such Thing as A Fish" which has Andy Murray (the comedian not the tennis player) - mainly because I know him and his wife a bit. A bit left field as you might expect from the title.

The problem with all these things is time: listening in the car is great - but again, unless you are driving a lot ...

I've even failed to make time for the BBC's Ukrainecast, which I listened to once only: it's at least quite short.

I thought they were video things.  Tell me more.  I haven't a clue.... clearly.  :o)))

They're just a radio programme that you can download and listen to at any time

Well, I never!  I'm really surprised.   Thanks brainiac.

Thanks Redhelen - and all.

The BBC iplayer has a lot of different podcasts from old radio panel shows to current news and lots in between

They are either pre-recorded or live audio programs - you can stream them on apps like Spotify or download to a device and listen at your leisure. They are pretty much always a series on a particular theme. They are effectively radio programs but the difference is the download option.

I'm pleased I asked.

"The BBC iplayer has a lot of different podcasts from old radio panel shows to current news and lots in between "

Strictly speaking, those aren't "podcasts", which tend to be self-consciously billed as such, and I think is what Naomi means But yes a lot of stuff is now downloadable - TV too of course.  And it all amounts to the same thing.

I've listened to a couple of them by Peter Crouch which were very funny, but listening to them or the radio doesn't fit in with my life.

On the other hand, a couple of our children are always plugged into podcasts.

I recall hitting links to the odd science based one (mainly) but I'm not a regular listener.

I've become so accustomed to "sound bites" & zapping between channels on TV & web pages that I find it difficult to concentrate on podcasts etc.

i used to love kermode and mayo's film podcast.  Alas, no longer.  I get alexa to play any i want to listen to

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts but That Chapter is my favourite
