You can get a really useful device from your GP, District Nurse, Rotary Club, poss Red Cross. It is a small plastic holder (about the size of a camera film case) and stickers. One sticker is placed in complete view by the front door (a green cross) the other sticker on your fridge. Inside the canister you list all meds and conditions you suffer from. The canister is kept in the door inside your fridge. Any emergency services visiting know what the sticker means and knows where to look to find vital (poss lifesaving info).

They are free and, in my opinion, EVERYONE with any kind of serious medical condition should have one

It really is a great idea.  The valuable seconds that can be saved really can make a difference.   Another good idea is that of the ICE campaign.  ICE stands for In Case of an Emergency and all you have to do is add ICE to your phone book on your mobile along with the number who you would want contacted.  In an emergency ambulance staff/police etc just have to look at your phone and they have the contacts right there.  There was an email floating round that this is a hoax and to do with a virus, but it has been confirmed by the ambulance services as an on-going campaign and i would urge other people to follow suit.
