XP SP2. I only have the above combination on one of the 3 PC's I use and find that Email in Outlook Express does not download. Disabling the Email scanner in AVG and it works. Anyone else found this ?

In general I think it is fair to say that if your PC is working sweetly and you install any Norton products you will get some sort of problem. I have made my PC a Norton Free Zone.
Or am I being unfair ?
I entirely agree with tellboy. Kick norton out. If you use outlook express, then give Thunderbird a go. It has a bayesian spam filter which I would be pretty sure is better than norton's anyway, and it's free.
