It is listed as "Merry Dance" by Leopold Mozart in "Steiner Repertoire Album for Piano: Book 1". Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote a theme and variations on "Ah! Vous Dirais-Je, Maman". Perhaps both made use of the same French folk tune.

I found it! It is listed as "Merry Dance" by Leopold Mozart in "Steiner Repertoire Album for Piano: Book 1". Perhaps both he and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart made use of the same French folk tune, "Ah! Vous Dirais-Je, Maman". (The spelling of these French words varies between publishers.)
