I am on holiday in the Lake District and have visited a charity shop which is selling an autographed photograph of the Rolling Stones for £120. I am thinking of buying this as hopefully its value will increase in future. Should I go ahead and buy it or not? (There is no Certificate of Authenticity with it.)

You can't always get what you want.

If you're not sure that it's official it's probably not worth it, but that's just me

There are a lot of fakes about, photos signed by roadies etc. If there's no note about provenance I would be wary.

Absolutely not.

If you're happy to give the £120 to charity anyway, then go for it.

If you want to see some idea of value, see these Google results:

You can't always get what you want.

Without a certificate of authenticity it's worthless as an investment.

Why would there be a certificate of authenticity though?  Some teenager in the 1960s had a phtotograph at a concert or party or wherever and asked the band members to sign it.  Who would have authenticated it?

It's in a charity shop. Just saying.

Not sure that the charity shop could have authenticated it.  Buyer beware and all that.

who's in the group?

It won't be an old photo that some young girl got signed at the stage door in 1964.

It will be one of those in a frame that you buy in the local mall which come with a certificate, except they've obviously lost the certificate.

I`m just curious how it was certificated
