I was meant to have a driving lesson last week but she cancelled twice and said there was collision and today said she slipped at a petrol station

Your driving instructor is plainly not telling the truth, and she is by no means businesslike. Find another instructor as soon as possible.

I have just looked back at your posts to get some background on this and one said "one instructor has said he don't think driving is for me". Is this the same instructor?

I'd focus on your interview tomorrow and sorting a job out first and then address the issue of driving lessons after that.

Do your parents drive, Abbey?  Maybe one could give you some lessons?

No this was my manual instructor I've gone auto now

Dyspraxia problem and driving are topics well discussed on the Internet - Abbey, I reckon it is more difficult for you learning to drive than more able-boied people.  Are your instructors aware of your problem?

Not the new one

Getting information in the correct order and instantly taking on board what the instructor is saying can also prove to be more challenging than normal. As a result, it often takes people with dyslexia longer to learn how to drive and more attempts to pass their practical test. (minimum 50 lessons)

Trust me, they will know.

I think you are doing too much Abbey.

Trying to work two jobs, learning to drive, tired, not happy, trying to find a new job, its not good.

my post should have been 'dyspraxia' not 'dyslexia'

The winner who will know?

Your driving instructor will know you are struggling.

Like your employers know you are struggling.

I think you are doing too much.

my reply was to Haz at 20.44

One of my driving instructors cancelled a lesson for a silly reason. I naively believed him.

It turned out that he'd done this to get out of his advert that promised "Your money back if you don't pass. Subject to at least one lesson per week." When I failed my test I asked about the money-back guarantee. 'Oh, but you missed a week', he said with a grin. Yes, but you cancelled it you no-good...[rude word].

abbey, the question I have, is why don't you discuss your situation with your mum? She loves you more than you will ever know.

How much do driving lessons cost you ,Abbey  ?

Question Author

£38 p/h

Thanks Abbey--Only asking because my grandson up here in Lancs has to pay £70 for a  two hour lesson and I thought that was  expensive but you are paying more.
