9 the opposite of old + what a lumberjack would shout 

9.  Clue for unused could be, it's brand N?w. Wood is also known as T?mber. 

the animal is like a frog beginning, with NE?T.

This is why I don't get it.

To me,  the opposite of old is Young. (not new).

The Winner,  If you refer to old as age, then the opposite is “young”. If you refer to time, like if something is worn out, then it is “new”.
