I use Gmail and don't have a check on mails being received or read.

I suspect some of my mails are dropping into recipients' spam folders, how can I check, and prevent it?

You can request a 'read receipt' when you send an email.

If they are going into someone else's spam folder it is the recipient who must take action to prevent this.

If it was possible for people sending email to bypass the recipient's email filters, all the spammers would be doing it!

Gmail addresses are popular with spammers so, inevitably, emails sent from them are more likely to be falsely flagged as spam than email sent from other email services. The use of words and phrases frequently used in the subject fields of spam emails (such as "Congratulations!") might also cause them to be classed as spam.

Your only real hope of improving your chances of getting your emails past spam filters is to ask the intended recipients to add your email address to their 'Contacts' list.

But don't send the intended recipient an email asking them to add you to contacts. For hat will languish in your spam folder too.

Catch-22 then, so I am at a loss how to get around the problem.
