The full line-up of “celebrities” for this year’s series has now been revealed in the media, even though many hardly qualify to be called celebrities. Soon the launch show will be shown on BBC1 on which the “celebrities” are officially introduced to their professional dance partners (with totally OTT pretend excitement from both parties). That launch show is clearly recorded in advance as we are shown film of those pairings meeting previously on location. Does anyone know exactly when they first meet? Have this year’s pairings in fact already met?

All a load of glitter balls innit.
no wheelchair dancer again this year?
The professional dancers are already rehearsing but I don't know if they have their partners with them yet
I don't know if you are aware but they all meet for the first time to dance with each other in front of the producers so the pairs can be chosen both on compatibility and practicalities - they don't want the celeb living too far away from their pro partner.
I don't know how far in advance of the 'reveal' recording this happens, it could be same day or weekend, or weeks earlier.

In the early series it was obvious that some of the celebs had never danced a step in their lives. Over the years it became obvious that most celebs had private dance lessons from the moment they signed up to do it, if they had no previous dance training.
Spoiled it for me.
Oh no, is it that time of the year already?
Who's the amateur with two left feet this time?
Probably Les Dennis?
