I hope this question make sense I will try to be as clear as possible.I recently bought a new(new to me but second hand)iPhone XR and so far I love it.The only problem is when I come to take pictures it seems to save them as tiny little, cropped, narrow pictures instead of full screen ones.I usually manage to get the pictures to save in a larger format, but there appears to be no rhyme or reason to when it saves small cropped photos,or larger, full screen ones.My question is,when I get the phone to save my pictures in the correct size,is there a way I can lock in these settings,so that everytime I take a picture the size will be the size I want it to to be,and not cropped?
TIA all

A bit of a guess here but are you sure that you're in 'Photo' mode, rather than 'Portrait'?

Buenchico,I have tried in both modes and still get the same result. It seems after a few pictures,it goes back to the thin cropped pictures whether its in photo or portrait mode
Hold the phone landscape

Tuvok.Unfortunately thats when it ALWAYS saves the pictures as the small cropped images
When you’re using the camera look at the top of the screen - is there a small arrow?

If so click on it. A few options come up along the bottom of the screen, one of them should say 4:3. Does yours say 1:1 ? If so that touch it and select 4:3.
