The application form is asking, "Please give an example of when you sought other people’s views to help improve your personal practice or your service?", but I'm only a temp audio typist and don't know what to put. Any ideas, please?

Doesn't it simply meaning give an example of a time where you took advice from someone else? You could put something like, "I am always wanting to improve my work, and actively see the advice of those who can show me how to do this, for example, I spend my spare time watching online tutorials on how to continually improve my skills."

Can you think of a time when you sought other people’s views?

Never, naomi24. Not in the workplace anyway, as that is the place they're asking.
Look for something related to your work, along the lines of working more efficiently or learning a new audio set.

Personally these days I would steer clear of any organisation that asks these leading questions, they could well be on the 'diversity' band wagon and best avoided.
As an employer, I would always look for authenticity and honesty above any "generic" answers. If I were you, I'd put, "As a temporary audio typist, this isn't something that I have had to do much of! But I'm always on the lookout to actively learn and improve what I do."
Your in your 50s s will have lots of experiences surely. Just think of when you asked for advice or clarification. You could even say you seek answers on AB to work issues

Thank you so much guys already! xx
When I was a temp audio typist I was never asked such ridiculous questions, just did a typing test. The world has gone mad.

I agree, smurfchops. I'm wondering if this company has had many, many problems. Now they're asking, "An example of a time, when you went out of your way to ensure someone else was treated with respect". Lord above us.
Maybe you asked someone more experienced about the preferred layout style of the organisation, or what the priorities were in terms of how you managed your workload.
you heard a very concerning thing whilst transcribing
and referred it to whomever
who did the appropriate thing
- dragged them off the brdige they were gonna jump off

t a junior doctor, described a time when you went against orders ( eek) and got a good result

at least 90% broken ribs and diff breathing and putting in a chest drain

The answer is, work for a company that just wants your typing skills and good references.
