How can me and a couple grown ups play red rover with a group of kindergartners?

How exactly should we play when one of the kids calls one of us over? Should we break through? How should we go about it given that they don’t pose any challenge?

And when it is our turn, how should we call one of the kids over? How often should we let them break through? And how often should they not be able to break through?

Sounds to me that it's the sort of game you need to watch kids play on their own first, to estimate how often they get through against others. It is probably unreasonable to expect an adult to be obstructed so... maybe show that, while you get involved, it simply doesn't happen ? Ideally I suspect you'd be better off refereeing.
