Where did you get 'danse' from?
This was the clue:
//19d Terpsichorean sequence such as that in the allegorical ‘macabre’ style, symbolising the universality of death (5)//
Google gives this:
//The Danse Macabre, also called the Dance of Death, is an artistic genre of allegory of the Late Middle Ages on the universality of death//
Thanks for that, elliemay. x

Thankyou all! I think I made a wild guess on Saturday that Monday's Herculis would have a clue which gave the answer MACABRE. That will teach me! It wasn't too difficult to change the S for a C.
