I think this is what you mean, but it's incredibly expensive. (it bids for you)

you have to watch things like this

i tried using one about 5 years ago, and it bid on loads of stuff with "key words" after i lost one auction,

the best way of sniping an auction is to wait till the very last minute to bid, dont bid on it at all till about 30 seconds are left then bid you maximum..

youll notice that most bids are towards the end of an auction, and people are willing to pay whatever people are willing to pay, the bids on 10 day auctions are amusing, people will bid up the items on day one, say a xbox 360 starts at a penny:

someone bids with a penny, afterall, a penny isnt much! the bidding will go up one step at a time, but these bids are relatively pointless, this item is worth about 300, and will sell for quite close, as many many people are looking on ebay for one, so.. the first bids upto about 200 are completely irrelevent, its the last few bids that matter..

people will look through, and mainly ebay is set to show the items that finish soonest, so, with that in mind, people will look for the first available xbox and bid on that,

even a 20 saving on the shop price is worth commiting an hour to buying... so everyone will sit and wait..

basicly what i am saying is, you are always best to wait till the last 30 seconds of any auction to bid.. if i want something, i bid at about 5 seconds to the end of the auction, and i bid the most i want to pay, on one bid..

other people will be bidding on the most saught after goods in this fashion, and no "sniper program" will give you the advantage...

it simply bids what you tell it to, at the last second, if you arent around for the last seconds of the auction then it could be useful, but as ebay is a stratigic market, proffesional sellers will list things for target audiences, ending specific times on specific days...

ebay is a science.... complicated
I've used justsnipe for years without problems.

I buy a lot of things from the US and the auctions end in our early hours, so this does the job. As always, it is the highest bid that wins.

It is free - it puts your bid in on your behalf a few seconds before the end of the auction. Obviously, it needs your eBay id and password. Many thousands of people use this without problem.
Like Ethel, I use a prog to bid for me : JBidWatcher.
Means I can nod off or go to the pub (what? I'm Scottish!!) and this prog will bid my maximum with seconds to spare.
If I bid my maximum with hours to spare then that gives someone hours to figure out my maximum and outbid me by 2p.

There's probably soom poor ****** thinking "oh yeah - 36.93 with 14 seconds to go. This is mine baby!!!"
And then JBidWatcher gets in for me with 5 seconds to go :-)

Oooooffffftttt!!!!!

Touch wood- I have never 'lost 'an item when I have used this.
If you have time to follow the auction to the end AND have Firefox as your browser you can have fun by opening two tabs on the same item. One at the 'bid now' page with your maximum amount filled in and the other page following the auction by refreshing the page whenever you wish. If the price exceeds what you are willing to pay then so be it,otherwise you can have the excitement of bidding right up to the last second! (sad existence isn't it!)
