Would people say some thing to the peron to wash there hands after seeing to a previous customer or seeing them touch there hair or there skin. I also seen them lick the end of the spoon to test the custard then giventhem the same spoon.

I probably wouldn't say anything- but I certainly wouldn't buy anything from them!
I once saw the sales assistant at the fish counter sneeze into her hands then serve the customer fish - ugh!
Don't you think this goes on in the kitchens of restaurants? We all still eat in them. I never send anything back for fear of some form of retribution from the chef!

i saw a young lad put raw burgers on the griddle then come and serve me. I ordered two coffees but said "after you've washed your hands please"
I felt quite sorry for him, he was about 17 and had probably not been told to do so!
I agree with auzzie, i put up with lukewarm things etc, rather than send stuff back sometimes. i used to work in a restaurant!

one that really gets me cross is when they wear those gloves to make your sandwich - and then take the money at the till, still wearing them!

I worked as a chef for about 8 years and I am glad to say the people I worked with are scrupulous. THe love of cooking for somebody means that the majority of us would not dream of sullying something we had spent a great deal of time creating. It's like using your knitting as a hankie, if you see what I mean.
