Further to the tattoo question in the Home section. A lot of people have regretted having certain tattoos and i have heard they are difficult to have removed. Can they be removed very easily, and i presume they can be tattooed over ?.

I think they're generally removed with laser treatment. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cosmetic-procedures/non-surgical-cosmetic-procedures/tattoo-removal/

There's a TV program where folks with bad or embarrassing tattoos have them re-worked into something more appropriate and artistic.

I think they do removal with lasers but it's probably painful & I don't know how effective.
My friend had a tattoo that went round the top of her arm removed. It was a lot of ink and she had to go for a lot of laser treatments her arm looked red and sore afterwards. I don't know if it was removed completely, I'll try and ask her.
My daughter had a large tattoo in the form of a Celtic style band around her upper arm that she soon regretted. She had it removed over a period of at least a dozen sessions and several years...according to her funds. I think each session cost about £180. There is no sign of it now.
My friend has got back to me. She said she had her tattoo removed about 15 years ago so things might have moved on since then. She is happy with the result but sometimes you can still see a faint shadow. Her tattoo was black and she was told then that colours are more difficult to erase, it might be different now.
