what age can I legally stop maintenance payments to ex wife for son who is in full time education?

usually when he stops full time education,no matter what age.
Until the time child benefit is stopped ~ which can be up to the age of 19, depending on when he finishes his education.
Used to work for CSA and their rules were up until the child was 19 and if they were still in full time education, you should pay or after the age of 16 and not in full time education.
I also thought that it is Further Education (until 19) and NOT Higher Education?
Please correct me if I am wrong!
