Well, they sure aren't allowed indoors!
Hi ladyb, I knew you'd be pleased with it. I often see a pigeon circling it and bobbing it's head in trying to reach the food which I always pile up in the middle! It sometimes gets some food because the sparrows are a messy lot and scatter it all about, so it can get some that gets scattered right up to the edge, which I don't mind. I love seeing the magpies being thwarted by it though, not a lover of magpies I'm afraid.
Lucky you having sparrows because I haven't seen a Sparrow in my garden for quite a few years now. I have no idea why. It used to be a given. Rarely see a Bluetit, once every couple of years if I'm lucky. Too many cats around I guess.
