I've just downloaded a free font from the internet. There is now an icon on my desktop. How do I now use this new font in a document such as word?

Thanks

Assuming you're using XP, open up control panel and there should be an icon marked 'fonts'. Open this and then on the 'file' menu there should be an 'install new font' option. You then need to navigate to your downloaded font and select it. This will put it into your usable fonts list and you will be able to select it for use in your applications.
