Several of us recently had Covid but one is again experiencing flu-like symptoms but now with back and stomach pain. She’s testing negative but will repeat test tomorrow. Does Covid cause such pain?

Yes, NJ, we get it...your opinion on Covid/testing etc etc.
And other people have other opinions - please respect them.
But don't go on and on, ad nauseam.

NJ, As bobbinwales says, if you know you have Covid - even if it affects you only mildly - you make every effort to avoid the vulnerable and the elderly because it’s likely to affect them more severely. I wouldn’t have thought that too difficult to comprehend. Blimey! It’s hard work here at times.
Because some employers have different rules for COVID, for example my old employer would not not count covid (if you could prove covid) as part of your sick record.
I`m doing a shop for someone tomorrow and will deliver it to her. She's 91. If I had a cold I would still get her shopping but if I thought I had covid, I would think twice. Covid doesn't bother me, I`m young and healthy enough to fight it off but it could kill her. So could the flu and if I had that I wouldn`t get her shopping either (not that I would be able to as I felt absolutely *** when I had the flu and I was only in my 20s then) So there is no harm in knowing if you have it or not.
If you know you have covid ;you can then sport that fashion asessory - the mask
It seems strange that some get so worked up about about another's personal choice. The tests are available and naomi's subject wanted to avail herself of one specifically to see what the result would be. It really is nobody's business but the one who took the test. I am with gingejbee on this. naomi asked a perfectly reasonable question and has had an answer from Sqad, which she no doubt values and respects as well as others who have answered her. C'est tout.

Covid discounted. She has now been admitted to hospital as an emergency with a severe kidney infection and suspected sepsis. Shameful that it took 36 hours for a doctor to get back to her.
It doesn't create a problem for me naomi, I just don't understand it. I think my post was perfectly clear and made sense.
naomi, I do hope she gets prompt attention and starts to feel better soonest. Such a worry.
Question Author
Choux, I’m distraught.
I am so sorry, naomi.
I hope your friend gets well soon, naomi. We'll leave the Covid debate for another day.
