I can't help directly with regard to Jardiance but I can tell you that when high-strength chemotherapy simply brought my bowels to a total standstill, this stuff was fantastic for solving the problem. I don't think constipation was reported in clinical studies but Empagliflozin might dehydrate you so it would be wise to up your fluid intake and mention it to the Diabetes Nurse Specialist
I have recently started taking it. I was lectured by the Renal consultant about my fluid intake.

The drug makes you pee the sugars in your system and you have to increase your fluid intake.

Good luck with it.
Whenever my GP prescribes a drug that can cause constipation, he also prescribes Fybogel (ispaghula husk drink) to be used once or twice a day. Does the trick.

Thank you, I too looked up the studies and constipation was not mentioned. I have upped my water intake a lot, in fact sometimes I can't seem to drink enough. Looks like I will have to try something from the chemist, just don't know why this has started since I have been on the tablets.
Have you changed your diet at the same time, such as reducing carbohydrate intake?
Question Author
No ,I have not changed my diet
Whilst constipation is not mentioned but dehydration is and they can be linked.
Up your fluids and discuss with your medical professional

Thank you Buenchico
Only thing I can add is that I'd probably only use one sachet of Laxido a day, at least for the first couple of days (see how you toilet and adjust accordingly). My OH and I have been on and off Laxido Orange for the last 5+ years. I always start on a sachet every day or every other day, to begin with - sound advice from my GP.

I guess you can't really go too far wrong, you just may end up with very loose stools, depending on how your body responds to it.
