It would appear the one continually making reference to what us Brits did was personally in theatre as one of the belligerents during the battles. Must have a few war stories?

Correct. Hitlers Germany were a very real threat to Britain. The Taliban in Afghanistan were not.

I dont know,gromit.Hitler always made it clear that Russia and Stalin were his main enemies.A lot of historians say Hitler was a bit of an Anglo/Britophile.Churchill saw through him.Thank God.By Churchill seeing through Hitler ,Churchill saved the whole world at the same time.As i said us Brits saved the world.
Anyhow back to the OP.
I hope the Iranian people are able to rid themselves of their oppressive religious leaders. And that democracy and freedom can again flourish there.
