There's an old 60's song with the lyrics ' and the birds in the trees were so sad and lonely' (or something like that) I'm sure it was somebody like Freddie and the Dreamers or Gerry and the Pacemakers who sung it but can't remember. Can anyone help - you're good if you can - a bit vague I know.

The song is 'Bad To Me' by Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas.

Andy-Hughes. YOU ARE GOOD. Didn't even give yourself enough time to think of that one. Thanks mate.
Thank you, you are most kind.
it was written by lennon and macarteney i think
It was indeed - and Kramer had a number of hits with Lennon & McCartney songs. His Number One song 'Do You Want To Know A Secret' which knocked the Beatles off the top spot, was written by John Leenon.
Or Lennon, if you like.
Andy-hughes, are you a disc jockey? I have been trying to find the title/artist of a song for months, goes like this:

So if you're stabbed in the back say Ta
Que sera sera
You can thank your lucky stars
There's someone, somewhere, much worse off than you are

Any ideas please? Thanks.
Do you want to know a secret only got to number 2!
Billy one number ones were Bad to me and Little Children.
(Unless you're using an alternative chart source such as NME or Melody Maker in which things may be different).
