Supreme court judges rule unanimously that the holding of a referendum is a reserved matter and thus permission is needed from the UK government.

You're at it again, Corby, and your constant stirring isn't helpful. Unlike the contributor who just joined us again and, once again, is no more, TTT is not a troll.

"errr,in what way is it doomed?Healthier than ever,in my view."

under the northern ireland act of 1998 the uk govt must arrange a border poll "if at any time it appears likely that a majority of those voting would express a wish that Northern Ireland should cease to be part of the United Kingdom and form part of a united Ireland"

those conditions are extremely close to being met if they haven't been already... the uk can't give NI a referendum and then not give scotland one... especially if NI votes to leave
Sorry, just back in from working to keep the SNPers on here in dole money.Sorry, but the Irish people lost all sort of moral majority when they detonated the Omagh bomb, this was after the GFA remember. Two unborn babies were murdered in the name of the Irish people. The Irish may have forgotten about it.I certainly wont.
in what way were "the irish people" responsible for the omagh bombing?

regardless of whether you recognise their moral authority the northern ireland act of 1998 is clear
