Bbc Quiz : Week 44

After a week that I'd be prepared to swear hasn't had more than just two or three days in it, it's Friday again!

A fairly good start for me this week, with FIVE out of seven in the main quiz:

The kids' quiz is fairly easy this week (as it's obviously meant to be, even though many of us seem to keep making a mess of it!). The football question let me down though, so that left me with a score of FOUR out of five:

I'm blaming the cat on my knee for me accidentally clicking on the incorrect answer in the Royal question of the Timed Teaser, even though I knew the right answer to it. I could have done with that point too as, without it, I was just left with a lowly score of THREE out of ten:

How will YOU do this week, I wonder?

Good job that you are mechanically minded, Chris. Let us know what you think about it.

It's not bad for the money, Tony, but I've had better Montepulciano in the past. (It lacks the real depth of flavour, and sheer 'plumminess', that some others have).
5/7 v 5/7
4/5 v 5/5 (lucky)
3/10 v 4/10 (mystery guesses)
Did you get a horrific infection or did your terrible
3 turn on you, Shady is quite non-plussed :-))
Question Author
Well done on beating me (twice over) this week, Haras2!

My lot would NEVER turn on me. It's not love. It's just that they know where the food comes from ;-)

I hope that you and Shady are well and that tomorrow's fireworks won't scare him too much.

4/7

7/10
Oh yes, it's the usual 3 for me this week (well, I do sometimes get four!)
Question Author
Way ahead of me, as usual, Lie-in King! Well done!

3's a 'pass mark' (just!) in my book, GG ;-)
5/7
4/5
7/10 - thanks to some good guesswork
Question Author
Those good guesses helped you beat me by several lengths this week, Ken.

Well done!
5, 4, 6
3/7 and 4/5. The football one had to be Wales. The Welsh are too busy thinking about themselves than anyone else. Boyo.
4,3,5 slightly better than last week. As I don't take a lot of notice of the news apart from Google bites, not too bad. Things I thought might come up didn't!

Bless questions repeated in quizzes!
4/7
3/5
6/10

Not bad for me but with a few guesses.
Question Author
Well done with those scores,Emmie. That 6 takes you way out ahead of me this week!

Decent enough, I think, 10CS. (Yes, I should have remembered that Wales is the only one of the four nations where everything is in two languages!).

I'm constantly trying to predict which questions will come up too, Roo. It rarely seems to help though; even when there's a question about the right topic for me, it's almost invariably about some small bit of detail that I'd failed to pick up on! Welcomer to the Aggregate-12 club, anyway ;-)

Yes, Zebo. Repeated questions do help a bit but I've still been known to get something wrong twice over! Well done on beating me!

Solid scores, Tigger, and one point better than me too!
5/7. 4/5. 5/10.
Not too bad I suppose.
Question Author
Two points better than me (courtesy of your relative success in the sprint event), anyway, Caran!

Well done!
Thanks Chris,

5/7
4/5
7/10
What can one say - a pathetic 2 on the adult one but a perfect 5 on the kids!
Question Author
The same as me on the first two, Twix, but you absolutely trounced me in the sprint event. Well done!

Congratulations on being totally childlike this week, JJ109 ;-)
