As this film comes up on here quite frequently, just thought I'd let my fellow ABers know this brilliant film is on tomorrow (Thurs) at 1.35pm Ch4. If you have never seen it, set your video...its brilliant.

Thirded! Powell & Pressburger's best, & one of my all-time faves.
I took your advice and watched this film.
You are correct.
It is absolutely brilliant.
It's a great film. I particularly love Marius Goring's performance as Conductor 71. Also Roger Livesey as Frank - nice little touch with him at the beginning, overseeing the village with his camera obscura, parallelling and foreshadowing what happens later.

Did you know the film was made partly to help boost Anglo-American relations, which had become in some respects a bit strained during the war?
