Cameron, May, Boris, Truss & Sunak have all used different lecterns when speaking in Downing Street. WHY? Surely lecterns don't wear out that quickly. What happens to them when discarded?

I think you will find lecterns are used more than once. Also there is the height issue between whoever uses them.

And remember the photos go out to the world. You really dont want photo's of your PM looking like he is on the shop floor (Like Brown did).

BTW, I think Mr Sunak did use an old one.

different heights maybe.
or maybe theres several in the offices as there used in meetings and many stff work there
