Since the former took office.

Nice dig at the end though from Sturgeon!

/She added: "I don't know whether that is arrogance, lack of respect or insecurity or whatever it is. It's not the right way to do government in a grown up way.
"So I hope we will see a change. I'll do my best to work with Liz Truss as constructively as possible or whoever comes after because we can't take anything for granted in UK politics these days."/

I reckon she’s fight, it’s insecurity.

Can't help but think that if Truss shows some balls, takes no prisoners, trucks little dissent she'll do better than she is now. She can hardly do a lot worse.

Bar her reputation being at rock bottom and she’s started digging you mean?
Fatt: You really should read what people say before you press BS.
//If you’re so disdainful of them why not let them leave the Union?//

I wish they would bloody leave - get the SNP 5th columnists out of Whitehall. Unfortunately most Scots know they would be immeasurably impoverished by independence & will never vote for it.
Westminster not Whitehall !
"get the SNP 5th columnists out of [Westminster]"

If Westminster agreed to an independence referendum, you might get your wish.
//Ah, so like the government we have to excuse bad manners and idiocy?//

It’s nothing to do with the government and it’s neither bad manners nor idiocy. It’s a light hearted remark – a joke which davebro applies to numerous groups on here. Perhaps you’re not acquainted with the concept. If it offends any Scottish people, bad luck. Shows a measure of insecurity and they need to get out more.
Isn't up to the current administration rather than parliament? dunno the legalities but Indyref2 - yeah bring it on. (NS doesn't really want it cos she knows she'll lose!)

Then it’s a matter of opinion, New Judge.
To me it is bad manners and idiocy not to at least have a quick chat with the leaders of the devolved home nations, purely out of courtesy.
But as Jno posted earlier:

As for Davebro, calling certain groups ‘savages’ is appropriate at times.
Using it to describe the population of a nation is rude and crass, but continue to defend it as you will.

Why not hope for independence, in order to get rid of the SNP MPs if you hate them so much?
I do - very much so!

In fact my main wish would be for ENGLISH independence - FREEEEEDOMMMM !!!!
-- answer removed --
I couldn’t really give a tinker’s cuss whether Scotland stays or goes, but given these straightened times I’d dearly love the lorry loads of cash we send up the A1 that allows the per capita spend on Scots to be greater than the English to cease. There is zero justification for the greater per capita spend.

I find it a disgrace that England’s munificence allows the Scots to have free university education and prescriptions (amongst other things) while our university students are paying £9k a year. No matter how the spin gets spun that is simply wrong.

What is for certain, if NS gets her way and ties are severed, Scotland will be in penury.
