Foreign Coins

I have a lot of foreign coins (euros and american coins). Can I exchange them for Sterling anywhere or change them into notes?

I think you'll find no financial institution will exchange coins. Try selling them to somebody travelling to these monetary areas in exchange for Sterling..

I've seen machines in airports and on ferries that will take euro coins and change them into sterling coins at a not very advantageous exchange rate.
