I have a Yorkshire Junior boiler. Twice now the eco mode has failed. When I say failed I mean turned itself off at some time. I hear the boiler lighting in the night when the house is quiet. Go and check and reset it to eco mode. It could have been like that for hours. It’s only at night I hear that the boilers lighting. I’ve always had eco mode on, even more now, saving gas. Didn’t want gas burning when it didn’t need to be.
What could be reverting the mode. Would a spike in electrical supply do it. I’ve asked the wife if she’s turned it off. She says No.

Are you mixing up your geography? Google refuses to accept that there's such a thing as a Yorkshire Junior boiler but does acknowledge that there is a range of Worcester Junior boilers. Therefore this might be relevant:

I’ll be posting my query on the site you supplied the link to.
Reading some of the answers there, none that seemed to fit my problem.
I have a manual time clock fitted to the boiler. With Off, On, ( Permanent ) & Timed. Room stat is at lowest point possible. Not-that that will influence hot water. The clock has been set to Off since last winter. Thanks again.
