From This Morning for queue jumping? Personally, I think their egos are huge now and they have both become really arrogant.

Petition, sorry
They didn't jump the queue. They had no impact on the queue at all.

They did jump the queue!
If I was in a queue, and somebody pushed in ahead, meaning it took me longer to do what I was there to do, I would call that "queue jumping".

If I was in a queue, and ITV sent out a team to report on the queue, I would call that "reporting".
I don't watch daytime tv but i am aware of what it is they are 'supposed' to have done. I actually saw the clip on line and it is true, they did not pause to pay respects, but walked straight past the coffin to the press gallery. However, saying they went for all those who couldn't makes it sound as if they made some major sacrifice on behalf of their viewers.
I have read that HW says she will not be quitting her job. NS Sherlock - it's a rather well-paid position.
No matter how many sign this petition, both will keep their jobs, hardly any will cease to watch their programme, and all will be forgotten when the next big story comes along.
LOL of course they jumped the queue. I watched the beginning of This Morning on catch-up to see how they would try and wriggle out of it...cringey

She said Ken that if viewers didn't want her there she'd resign, but your right, it's a well paid gig
She even got her lawyers on the case! How precious:-/
What difference did Holly and Phil make to the queue? None.

Did they hold anybody up? No.

What was the queue for? To pay respects.

Did Holly and Phil pay respects? No.

They were there just like every other reporter with a press pass.

Now ... who DID jump the queue, filing past the coffin and paying respects? MPs ... each allowed in with up to 4 guests who were NOT MPs. And they did make the wait time of the queue even longer.
Don't forget all the lovely things they've done.

With all that's going on at the moment, isn't this just a trivial nonsense? I saw it was the only story on the front page of one or two rags this morning...quality journalism, eh?
Many members of the press were deemed to have 'jumped' the queue but, like MPs, they were given dispensation if they were 'on duty'. Unlike MPs, they were not allowed to pause and pay respects by the side of the coffin, but were ordered to make their way immediately to the 'press gallery'.
I was being extremely facetious, lest there be any doubt.
What a crock of.
This, like so many other things, has been blown up out of all proportion by the media who love to boost someone til they are up and then knock them down. If everyone ignored it, it would go away.
