Does anybody have one or any knowledge of them? I need one but not prepared to pay Dyson prices! Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Firstly, air purifiers don't normally come with a humidifier- unless you spend a huge amount. Then, you'll need to spend a decent amount to get an air purifier that's actually worth having. (And the expensive Dysons don't do very well in Which tests). The best performing purifier in the Which? 2022 tests was by Electriq and it costs £230 plus.

Lots of info here

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much ginge. To be honest the humidifier is more necessary for me than an air purifier - constant nasal drip and sinus problems plus very dry skin and dry eyes. Read in a medical article that humidifier could really help. I think I will try this. I'm not interested in the essential oil feature, but they all seem to have them

Looks like a good choice. You may find that using an essential oil with it could help the sinus problem. Oils that are recommended for sinus problems include lavender, thyme, eucalyptus, pine, peppermint and teatree...take your pick! (but use proper essential oils, not fragrance oils).
Question Author
Thanks, any of those oils except Lavender. I hate the smell of lavender.

Can you tell me where I can buy good essential oils. I have t tree which I use quite a lot and eucalyptus bought in portugal which is nearly empty.

Just thought my husband hates smelly perfumey stuff. It all makes him sneeze. ;0/

Humidifier now ordered.
Re essential oils...not sure about shops (although Holland and Barrett used to have a good selection)...OH gets them online from both Mystic Moments and Fresh Skin (both direct or via Amazon)...good quality and much cheaper than the High Street.
Good luck with the humidifier...if you have hard water, I'd seriously consider using distilled or de-ionised to avoid problems.

Thanks Ginge. We do have hard water.
