Marks on my new Nubuck Puma Roma trainers

I have just received, after ordering over the internet, some new Puma Roma, nubuck trainers. They have some black marks on the toe part (trainers are brown)and I don't really want to send them back as in every other way they are perfect!!

Any ideas on how to get rid of these marks?

Don't mess with nubuck - you'll make it worse. Send them back if they're marked on receipt - an exchange should only take a few days?
