I've ordered a Tesco delivery for today between 2pm - 10pm.
They're supposed to send you a text on the day which gives you a 1 hour window of when they will deliver.
Any idea what time I'm likely to get the text?

I had a delivery from Sainsburys yesterday, unusually given four hour slot, longer than normal. I got a text about 2 to say delivery would be 4 to 5.
if you look at youronline account, the deliver slot is often in there (not always with those ones though

They usually send an email too, to let you know if some of your order is unavailable. Not had that either.
Check your junk box
I had my Tesco delivery on Wednesday, usually the book your slot is an hour mine was 6-7pm I’d receive a text 24 hours before reminding me I could still make changes up to 11:45 pm the day before, my e-mail allowed me to follow my order with a link.
Where it says 'book a slot' you can put the time in. Go to Tesco Groceries and sign in there. It's quite straightforward
I think Barsel had done all that, however seems as though it hadn't gone through hence to no notifications... I'm only guessing mind.

I have in the past booked my slot but payment wasn't clarified so although I believed it had been booked etc... it actually hadn't.

I choose the one that suits me which is the 2pm - 10pm then they text me to say they will deliver between e.g 3pm - 4pm or similar.
Anyway I phoned them and they said the reason I hadn't heard from them is because it's going to be an evening delivery 9pm - 10pm.
Not happy about that as it's dark by then and as I'm on my own, I don't like answering the door or having to let a stranger in at that time.
Why don't you order with a specific one hour time slot? It is much more convenient.
Why did you order delivery for between 2pm and 10pm if you don't want it that late?
Question Author
The price Wolfie.
The 1 hour slots cost between £3.50 and £7 whereas the one I use is £2.
Question Author
Ladybirder, previously it comes early to late afternoon.
Never known it to come this late.
Question Author
I'll choose the earlier one next time which is 10am - 6pm.
Just have to make sure I'm not going out that day.
Barsel, with Waitrose I can pick an hour slot which is brilliant and they stick to it. I don't mind a late slot as I know it is them and they bring it right into the kitchen for me. I get a message giving me the name of the driver so that's useful to know as well.
Question Author
LB if you come back, how much do Waitrose charge for delivery?
Do they have different prices for different times of the day?
Barsel, if you have a weekly delivery the Tesco delivery saver is a good option
