I cannot get the display window to light up on my BT Decor 2600 phone. There surely must be a way to do it? It`s a necessity in all but the brightest positions.

Doesn't it light up when the receiver is lifted? If it doesn't, perhaps the source of illumination (bulb or LED etc) is defunct.

Does the phone have batteries?

My BT phone - not that model does, and there is an option to adjust the contrast
