I've been doing a 6 hour day job over the weekend. The job involves walking around a dirt sandy area. Pretty much every time at the end of the day I find a layer of dirt on my feet when I remove my shoes and socks. Is there a good type of shoe out there I can wear that won't allow sand entry.

Yeah rain boots would certainly keep out the sand but there more for wet and muddy conditions. I'd also tire out more sooner wearing them.
