Asking Policies

I have always thought it rather hypocritical for quiz setters to publicise their quizzes on the AB and then try to prevent members from using it. I do not buy the argument that it spoils it for other people and reduces sales. Surely the more people who complete a quiz and send it in the more money the charity makes. Surely? If people do not want to see clues or answers then do not look. Or could it be that their enjoyment is marred by their chances of winning being reduced?
Some of the most annoying people must be the self-appointed quiz police. There are four or five. They know who they are and so do we. Whenever you see that they have posted you know that will not be helping anyone but will having a pop at someone. Sometimes the asker has not breached any request but has in the opinion of these busybodies asked too soon or too often. Sometimes this is done quite aggressively.
My wishes would be:-
Setters. If you want to prohibit the use of the answerbank do not advertise here.
Quiz police. No-one appointed you so mind your own business.

Just recently there was a request for help for one ending in May, before some of us had actually received the quiz in question!

Tuvok I don't know what caused saintstim to have this insulting rant. People asking for answers early (sometimes several months) is what causes people to make comments about the early asking.
