Cavemen Movie

I am looking for a movie or TV show that I saw years ago. In what I believe is the opening scene (could be wrong about that) there is a group of cavemen who I believe were all redheads, and they are being chased by a distinctly differently looking group. The redheads hide in a cave and I think their pursuers then threw burning sticks into the cave after them to either suffocate them or force them out. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what this scene is from.
