A few months ago had to have a sigmoidoscopy and had polyps removed and diagnosed with 'piles'.

But this hasn't cured my frequent (and often urgent) need for a toilet...several times a day...or the amount of blood that im loosing each time.

Im just left with a diagnosis of piles but no information on how to deal with the frequent need to pass waste or why I am bleeding so heavily everytime that I go to the loo.

Only just made it home tonight after visiting my family and toilet was full of blood.

Ditto .
apart from probs with the backside Nailit - you do come across as a very unhappy man no matter what the problems are and you do make it come across the adviser's problems. Not our fault Nailit. Hit it on the Nail and get it hammered on for your own good.

You should have got it sorted it well and good long ago.

Thanks everyone despite the subject matter I quite enjoyed reading a genuine post for once! Makes a change from all the *** posts by a certain few ABers. Hope you get it sorted Nailit, must be worrying for you.
Bright red blood in the pan and on the loo paper is far less worrying than dark blood in the stool that look like coffee grounds or tarry stools and can be caused by bleeding piles.

Have you lost weight without dieting? Has your liver problems been resolved? Are you eating a balanced diet and regular meals? Are you drinking a lot more than you know you should?
Nailit, I had the same problem, loads of blood, terrible urgency, sometimes not even making it.
My Doc kept saying bit of blood =piles and sendig me away.
It wasn't a bit , was a lot.
I ended up covering an old tray with tissue and 'going' on that and taking photos. Showed them to my Doc and was seen in Gastro in a couple of weeks.
Turned out I had Crohns, this was nearly 30 years ago. I'm pretty stable on meds now, few flare ups ,but nothing major.
Go and see your Doc, keep going, til you get seen and checked out.
All the best, Sparkles. X
Nailit/ Did you manage to arrange an appointment with your GP?

//Bright red blood in the pan and on the loo paper is far less worrying than dark blood in the stool//
Far less worrying, agreed, but still a concern.
Espesially as its not bright red as such.
//Have you lost weight without dieting?//
Not noticeably.
//Has your liver problems been resolved?//
I havnt been diagnosed with any liver problems.
All tests test to date show normal liver function
(Admittedly God only know how)
// Are you eating a balanced diet and regular meals?//
I eat a largely mediterranean style diet.
I may have addiction problems in one part of my life but
eat healthy in another part.

Thank you lankeela
It is.
I hope they get to the bottom of it soon, nailit. Sorry for mistaking you for another Aber re liver. Keep your chin up
Oh heck, I wasn't being funny in my previous answer
I don't believe this thread, as if the story is kosher, then the siuation is simple.
Nailit has piles which are bleeding and he needs to relay this to his Dr and ask if he can be referred for surgery.

No cancer, no inflammatory bowel disease.......piles, which are bleeding and need surgery.

Thanks Sqad! Appreciate it.

When I get time (most probably Friday now) I intend to get a
GP appointment.
However, when I initially saw my GP and he had his finger up my jacksie and diagnosed piles but referred me to the colon clinic, stated that ALL colon/anal procederes were now conducted by the clinic.
Ive just been ping ponged back to the GP?

Im bleeding like a pig from my arris, need to go to the toilet several times a day, urgently,...
So cancer is ruled out and because no cancer is found everything must be ok?
Im almost p1$$1ng blood out of my arris....
Im scared tbh.

BUT...
Recieved a letter telling me its not cancer...
So its OK then?
Question Author
Just want to find out what it is and correct it, if possible.
I just cant be any length of time between toilets.....
