I have my last holiday photos transfered on to CD-R. Please can someone tell me the steps to view these as a slide show on XP 2000 (Home)?

Just put the CD into your computer. Normally the CD will start automatically and the computer will ask you what action you want to take - i.e. view photos or open folder.
Put your CD in,go to My Picures which should tell you if you want slide show, print, e-mail etc.

I put my disc in. Nothing happened. I downloaded photos to My Pictures. Then only did I get the slide show option. What I really wanted to know was whether I could show my friends my photos on their computor directly from my CD-R without having to downloading the stuff on their computor. Any ideas?

Thanks

Horatio
Open the disk using Windows Explorer, then right click on the name of the first picture, then choose Preview from the popup menu - you can then move forward and backwards through the pictures manually using tne forward and back buttons, or can click on the slideshow button to have it do it automatically
Most DVD players will play jpeg's. If your friends have one of these they can play the CD there.
Mine automatically shows them as a sideshow.
