We have a farm very near us ( top of my street in fact) the farmer 'allegedly' wants more money off Telefonica that have a mast on his land, he's padlocked the gate stopping 02 who carry out mast maintenance from going in to fix the problem that's occurred during strong winds
so he is holding the full postal area and beyond to ransom, mobile phones are cutting out and the internet is hit and miss for those who are working from home mostly, I am in contact with our MP and to date she is being very helpful, why are some people so damn selfish!

Normally when utility companies put installations in land they do not own, there is a wayleave agreement. That will usually include payment of a fee by the company to the landowner. Unfortunately, my personal experience is that not all companies are very good at paying the wayleave - and yet the workers still trample all over the land using it as their own. I...

That was a handy thing to find in a pub Gness ,better than a bag of crisps ;0/
He certainly didn't, Arky. Nice quiet life wandering England on his motor bike, I buy him a pie and a pint and he ends up here as the village Santa, staring role in the village play and last night part of the Guard of Honour for a funeral....no wonder he looks confused at times... :-)
It was, Bobbi....mind you the potato skins in our pub are to die for so that decision could have been difficult. ;-)
I'd have gone with the pork scratchings myself but each to their own.

Aww a match made in heaven then :0)
Well if Heaven is an Irish pub, Bobbi...then yes.

Pork scratching fan then, Arky. Late MrG was. Daughter sent him a parcel of them from Devon. Left by postie on the doorstep and were stolen. Love to have seen the face of the thief when he/she opened the parcel. :-)

Teeth breakers , bleughhh
So our tourist keep saying, Bobbi. Lovely to be meeting so many of them again after the last two years. Half answered this then had to go for a lesson on how to treat Dave's new frying pan. Honestly!

Up to twenty coach loads arriving daily now. Thirty odd is tops and will keep the village happy for the whole year. :-)
Another interruption from Dave. Quick, Gness! Message from Amazon about refund connected with your new Ipad. Oh the excitement!
All of 2pence. Won't go far in Murphy's. :-(
They are teeth breakers, Bobbi....I have to suck them these days and no, Arky....you don't have to reply to that! You know I'm talking about pork scratchings!
I’m saying nowt… but still a little chortle
I hear your chortles, Arky! ;-)

Got a copy of this, maybe BM can throw light on the 15 day thing, I’m assuming it’s a writ for the landowner to let the work be carried out?

Further to the below, our network engineering team have confirmed that the repairs are due to take place on 29 June 2022.

The delay is caused due to the requirement of a 15-day notice period for us to enter this specific site as it is located on private land and ensuring a Mobile Elevating Work Platform is available for our field engineers to make the necessary repairs.

Hopefully it’ll get settled now
