Did anyone watch the MOBO awards live last nite on BBC3??
If so i would like your views on it ,
As i thought it was quite boring and it had a completely dead atmosphere at the Royal Albert Hall
It's amazing what Editing a show can do.
there were frequent gaps of silence, and half the Acts that had won did not even show up =-)

I thought it was a load of old Americanised c**p i used to make a big point of sittin and watching it as it used to be really good and exciting but now i just switch over instead.
yes theese things are usually very predictable and the tru innovators of the music are rarely recognised only the more mainstream ones
I never watch awards shows because they are literally all the same.

As far as i can see, all music is of black origin, which makes the notion of this ceremony somewhat meaningless - which is something it tends to have in common with the artists to whom it gives awards.
surely
"music of black origin"

is infact racist towards non-black origin people
what if there was a music of white origin awards?

and to be honest, i think every type of new (70's 80's 90's to now) music can be traced back to "black origin"
