Maybe far from ordinary. Today Hazel and her Mum Hilary set off for Poland. They are using the huge horse box from their Animal Rescue Centre to deliver donation to Ukrainians and their pets arriving in Poland.
I'll follow their journey and wish for their safety.
People are making extraordinary efforts - and all credit to them - but the reality is it's just sticking plasters. God knows at whose borders this will all end.
My friend's farming family have raised £10,000 really quickly and on Friday two of them set off to Poland with £10,000 worth of emergency medical supplies. I am full of admiration for them.

Dave and I were in tears watching Ukrainians speaking on The Late Late last night. They live here or have safely reached here but their anguish over those still in Ukraine was unbearable.
